Mr. Theis focuses his practice on civil litigation and transactional matters.
Professional Activities
Mr. Theis is a member of the Pennsylvania and Cumberland County
Bar Associations as well as the Cumberland County Young Lawyers’ Division,
Cumberland County Inns of Court, and Cumberland County Young
Professionals. Mr. Theis is an Attorney Coach for a local
high school mock trial team, where he instructs high school
students competing in a state-wide interscholastic trial
team competition.
Education
Mr. Theis clerked for Martson Law Offices before joining the
firm as an attorney upon earning his law degree from The
Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University.
During law school, Mr. Theis clerked for the Torts Litigation
Section of the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office,
served as the Managing Editor of the Penn State Environmental
Law Review, and served as a student attorney in the
Disability Law Clinic, where he was certified as a Public
Interest Advocate by the Miller Center for Public Interest
Advocacy. He graduated from Dickinson as a member of
the Woolsack Honor Society. Mr. Theis is also a graduate
of George Mason University, where he earned a B.A. in Government
and International Politics with a minor in Legal Studies.
As an undergraduate, he was a congressional intern in Washington
D.C. for the Honorable Congresswoman Jo Ann Davis of the
First Congressional District of Virginia.
Publications and Presentations
Mr. Theis is the author of “Recent Developments in the
CERCLA Contribution Scheme and How They Should be Handled: U.S.
v. Atlantic Research; Aviall Part II.” His
comment is published at 16 Penn St. Envtl. L. Rev. 257
