Practice Areas
Katie J. Maxwell focuses her practice on civil litigation, transactional matters
and criminal law.
Professional Activities
Ms. Maxwell is a member of the Order of the Barristers, the Young Lawyers Division
of the Cumberland County Bar Association, and the Cumberland County American
Inn of Court. In addition to her professional activities, Ms. Maxwell coaches
girls' lacrosse at Carlisle High School.
Education
She received her law degree from The Dickinson School of Law
of the Pennsylvania State University in 2007, where she was
a member of the National Trial Competition Team and served
as articles editor for the Penn State Environmental Law
Review. Ms. Maxwell is a 2004 graduate of Columbia University,
Barnard College, where she earned a B.A. in political science.
Publications and Presentations
Ms. Maxwell is the author of “Multi-State Environmental
Agreements: Constitutional Violations or Legitimate State Coordination?” Penn
State Environmental Law Review Vol. 15, Number 2. Her
comment regards the constitutional issues facing New England’s
attempt to curb the regional emission of carbon dioxide through
the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI). |
