Pennsylvania man sues over head injuries suffered on the job

A lawsuit has been filed on behalf of a Pennsylvania drywall repairman who suffered significant head injuries on the job.

The man, who has years of experience in the profession, was injured in 2016 when he fell off a ladder and hit his head on a concrete floor. The defendants are the companies alleged to be responsible for the man's injuries.

The man had been hired to work on a building in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, that the defendants used for vehicle storage. This wasn't the first work he had performed for the defendants. In fact, he'd worked for them on occasion over a 25-year time span.

The man used a ladder that the defendants provided for his use while repairing the drywall. According to the lawsuit, while using the ladder, the man fell and suffered a number of injuries to his head that included a subdural hematoma, intracranial hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, skull fracture, cerebral edema, cerebral contusion, hypocalcemia, hyperglycemia, hypernatremia and hyperchloremia. In addition, he is said to be suffering from anxiety, depression, chronic physical pain and suffering, mental and emotional pain and suffering, and other injuries.

In the lawsuit, the man contends the defendants didn't properly supervise the worksite, didn't provide a safe workplace and violated Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.

The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000.

It is clear, based on these injuries, that this man has been through significant medical treatment and likely has a continuing recovery ahead of him. Any employee who is injured on the worksite is entitled to payment of medical expenses and also can seek compensation for negligence. A Pennsylvania attorney can help Pennsylvania employees who have been injured.
